Will Smith has been teasing his comeback album for over a year. After he premiered his gospel-inspired track "You Can Make It" last year, Smith has been operating on all cylinders to push the message out about his transformative album. The album is the first of three installments Smith plans to release. He recently explained why he structured the album into seasons and episodes.
"So rather than trying to jam it into one project, I'm doing it like a television show," Smith said. "I'm releasing it in seasons. I have three seasons. I'm not calling it an album. I'm calling it season one of Based On a True Story. Season one is called 'Rave In the Wasteland' and season two is a Quincy Jones quote. Season two is called 'The Gift of Madness.'"
Look out for Based On A True Story - Season 1: "Rave In A Wasteland" dropping March 28.
