The Syracuse University football team will host its annual spring game at the JMA Wireless Dome on Saturday, April 12, at 3 p.m. Originally planned for the SU Soccer Stadium, the game was moved back to the Dome after the postponement of a Billy Joel and Sting concert. The concert, initially scheduled for April 11, has been rescheduled for April 10, 2026, due to Billy Joel's need for recovery from surgery and physical therapy, as reported by RochesterFirst.
The spring game will feature an intra-squad scrimmage and will not be televised. According to CNYCentral, fans can enjoy a block party and a meet and greet with the team on the Syracuse University Quad before the game. Spring practice for the team is set to begin next week.
Syracuse coach Fran Brown expressed confidence in his players' loyalty, stating, "I don’t worry about the portal because I treat my players right," as noted by Syracuse.com. The decision not to televise the game aligns with the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Network's options for offseason football content, opting instead for a one-hour, all-access show in the preseason.
