Rob Parker: "I am the biggest defender of people getting a second chance. But first, you've got to acknowledge that you made a mistake. Own it. I'm happy that St. John's basketball program has rebounded. They were down for a long time, it was pretty bad. But I'm not going to lie, I can't root for Rick Pitino. I get that he paid for his transgressions. But some of the stuff he did on the college level with kids, it's hard for me to want to celebrate him. If he wins, he wins, there's nothing I can do. There is something that is stopping me from wanting to feel good about this story."
Kelvin Washington: "It seems like the sleaze hasn't really left. The fully contrite 'I owned it, I'm expressing this, I'm going through it, I'm telling you what's going on,' hasn't really happened. And therefore, it keeps you with one eye open. It prevents you from fully buying this. You root for the young men, you root for the team, you're happy for them and their success, but I get what you're saying."
Rob Parker and Kelvin Washington explain why they don't see Rick Pitino's return to success as a feel-good story. The guys examine Pitino's redemption tour with St. John's and break down why they still pause on fully supporting Pitino in his efforts to win a national championship with a very talented squad at St. John's.
