A North Carolina woman struck gold again after she scored a massive lottery win from the same place she previously landed a $10,000 prize.
Mary Barbour, of Four Oaks, recently stopped by the Dunn's Gas & Grocery on East Wellons Street where she purchased a $10 Million Spectacular scratch-off ticket, according to a release from the NC Education Lottery.
"My gut feeling just told me to buy that ticket," she said, adding, "That was the first time I've bought a $50 ticket."
And it's a good thing that she listened to her instinct to pick up the more expensive scratcher as that lucky ticket landed her an impressive $100,000 win. Dunn's even seemed to provide an extra bit of luck for the Johnston County woman as she had also previously won a large sum from another ticket purchased at the store.
"I actually won $10,000 there before," she said. "That was my biggest win before this."
Barbour claimed her prize at lottery headquarters on Friday (March 14), taking home a grand total of $71,764 after all required state and federal tax withholdings. According to lottery officials, she plans to use her newest winnings on some bills and to also pay for a trip to the beach for her grandson's birthday.
