After committing to Aaron Rodgers under center for the last two seasons, the Jets have begun to move down a different path after releasing the former MVP and Super Bowl champion along with his two-time former teammate Davante Adams. Justin Fields was signed to a 2-year contract worth $40 million, reuniting him with his Ohio State University teammate Garrett Wilson. Warner Wolf, legendary sportscaster, spoke with Mendte in the Morning about the Jets new QB and what he brings to the table.
“Win or lose he is a very exciting player,” Wolf said to host Larry Mendte. “He’s only 1 of 3 Quarterbacks in the history of the NFL to rush for over 1,000 yards in a single season.”
Wolf believes the Jets’ big move at QB effects their cross-town rivals as well: “It puts pressure on the Giants to get a quality Quarterback; supposedly they’re looking at Aaron Rodgers who will be 42, Joe Flacco who will be 41, and Russell Wilson who will be 37.”
