Child Found Dead in Lancaster; Investigation Underway

Authorities are investigating the death of a young girl found in Lancaster on Saturday. Los Angeles County deputies responded to reports of an unresponsive child on the 44700 block of Stanridge Avenue around 7:20 a.m. Upon arrival, they found the girl not breathing and she was pronounced dead at the scene.

The circumstances surrounding the child's death remain unclear, and homicide investigators are involved due to the unknown cause of death. As reported by KTLA, no further details, including the child’s age, have been released as the investigation is ongoing.

Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department's Homicide Bureau at 323-890-5500. Anonymous tips can also be submitted to L.A. Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online at lacrimestoppers.org.

The investigation continues as officials work to determine the cause of the child's death. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
