Officials in Wildwood are on high alert after a TikTok post announced a large gathering called "Project X" scheduled for Saturday, July 12, 2025. The post, which has circulated widely, has raised concerns about a repeat of last summer's events, where large parties led to multiple arrests and significant traffic disruptions along the Jersey Shore.

Wildwood Mayor Ernie Troiano Jr. assured residents that the city is prepared to handle any situation that may arise from the planned event. "We will be on top of it," he stated, indicating that local authorities are already taking steps to prevent any potential disturbances.

The announcement has been shared across various social media platforms, including Facebook, where community members expressed their concerns. The event's name, "Project X," is reminiscent of a 2012 film that depicted a wild, out-of-control party, adding to the anxiety among residents and officials.

As the date approaches, Wildwood officials are likely to increase police presence and coordinate with neighboring towns to ensure public safety. Residents and visitors are advised to stay informed about any updates regarding the event.
