Gov. Jeff Landry is urging Louisiana residents to show up at the polls for an election late this month.
Landry was in Monroe on Wednesday for the State of the State Luncheon, highlighting his administration's focus on public safety and crime reduction, and urged attendees to vote for Amendment 3, which would allow juveniles to be prosecuted as adults for certain crimes.
Landry also spoke of education, praising the removal of cell phones from the classroom.
The election is coming up on March 29. Early voting starts tomorrow and runs through March 22, excluding Sunday.
