HARDY is a dad!
HARDY and his wife, Caleigh Hardy, have welcomed Baby No. 1. The first-time parents shared a sweet photo on Instagram on Sunday afternoon (March 9) to announce their daughter’s arrival. Rosie Ryan Hardy was born on Friday (March 7), weighing 9 pounds 2 ounces, HARDY and Caleigh said as they shared the precious first family photos with their newborn baby.
“You have been our favorite little secret to keep,” Caleigh wrote in her caption on Instagram when she and HARDY announced the pregnancy in October. About a month later, they shared photos as they painted the nursery pink to announce Baby No. 1 would be a girl. Caleigh said the baby shower for Rosie Ryan last month “was something out of a fairytale. …Michael and I are still speechless.” Rosie Ryan was due on February 24. HARDY and Caleigh have shared updates since then as they awaited their daughter's arrival.
HARDY, whose full name is Michael Wilson Hardy, proposed to Caleigh in 2021. He asked Caleigh’s dad for permission before he invited her to The Lyric, a historic venue in Oxford, Mississippi, under the guise of a private show. The couple met at the venue about four years earlier. HARDY said at the time that “as far as I know, she was pretty fooled.” The couple got married in October 2022 in a stunning ceremony in Nashville, Tennessee. Dierks Bentley, Brantley Gilbert, Lauren Alaina, RaeLynn, ERNEST, Morgan Wallen and Mitchell Tenpenny were among the country stars in attendance. Caleigh told PEOPLE at that time that “once we met each other, there really was no one else. We never entertained anyone else. It was just so easy.”
“Last year, we spent today at your sold out Nashville show and this year we spent it bouncing on a birthing ball and practice swaddling plastic babies. Happy anniversary babe:) If you ask me, that sounds like a perfect two years together !! 😊❤️,” Caleigh wrote in an anniversary tribute to her husband on October 29.
