DOGE leader Elon Musk is putting federal employees on the clock.

Musk said all federal workers are being instructed to detail their recent work to the Trump administration through productivity reports. In a post made to his platform over the weekend, the tech billionaire and Trump ally said the report will come via email and will give workers a chance to report how productive they were the previous week.

Musk added that the emails are 'consistent with President Trump's instructions.' If the email is ignored, or there is not a response given by Monday, the federal government will take that as a resignation.

The United States Office of Personnel Management has confirmed the plan from Trump and Musk.

"As part of the Trump Administration's commitment to an efficient and accountable federal workforce, OPM is asking employees to provide a brief summary of what they did last week by the end of Monday, CC'ing their manager," the official said.

President Trump may be the biggest fan of Musk's work with the Department of Government Efficiency. While at CPAC on Saturday, Trump mentioned all the different programs and positions that have been cut to eliminate unnecessary waste in the federal government, along with the billions of dollars saved thanks to DOGE's findings in just the last month. Trump has encouraged Musk to be more aggressive.

"ELON IS DOING A GREAT JOB, BUT I WOULD LIKE TO SEE HIM GET MORE AGGRESSIVE. REMEMBER, WE HAVE A COUNTRY TO SAVE, BUT ULTIMATELY, TO MAKE GREATER THAN EVER BEFORE. MAGA!," Trump wrote in a post made to Truth Social.
