Craving Cookies? It's National Girl Scout Cookie Weekend

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Do you have a need for something sweet? National Girl Scout Cookie Weekend returned Feb. 21 – 23 just in time to curb those cravings.

The cookie line up includes 12 flavors. Returning are fan favorites, like samoas, thin mints, and Tagalongs, as well as new additions, like Adventurefuls and Toast-Yay!

The Cookie Program supposedly began in 1917 as a way to fundraise for local troops but has since grew into a significant American culture, teaching young girls about business, entrepreneurship, and people skills.

Over the years, the famous cookies have also made their way into menus at local breweries, including the Break Rock Brewing Company in Quincy.

That’s where Olivia, who has been a Girl Scout for nearly nine years, and her mom were stationed when WBZ NewsRadio spoke to her back in December.

“It’s a nice social place a lot of people gather here,” Olivia’s mom said. “We’ll take whatever we can get.”

The 2025 Girl Scout Cookie Program lasts until March 7. To find a booth near you, visit the Girl Scout Cookie Finder here.
