3 teenagers charged in connection to Madison homicide

MADISON (WKOW) -- Three teenagers have been charged in connection to a Madison homicide that left an 18-year-old dead.

Seventeen-year-old Stanford Latrail Clacks III, 17-year-old Vincent Franklin and a 16-year-old have been charged with first degree reckless homicide - as a party to a crime, and armed robbery - as a party to a crime.

The shooting happened the night of Feb. 13. in the parking lot of The Meadows Apartments on Madison's northeast side.

When officers got to the scene, they found 18-year-old Taisean Larry of Beaver Dam on the ground. He had been shot multiple times. Officers tried to save Larry, but he died in the parking lot.

They also recovered a semi-automatic Glock handgun and multiple shell casings, cell phones and a large bag of marijuana.

A criminal complaint said that Larry was delivering that bag of marijuana to Franklin. The complaint says during the drug deal, Franklin, Clark and the 16-year-old ambushed Larry and another person with him, attempting to rob them.

That's when Larry got shot. The person with him was able to get away.

The criminal complaint says the 16-year-old was also shot in the leg.

Investigators talked to Franklin and the 16-year-old at the hospital. They talked to Clacks after they traced his car and found him cleaning it.

The bond for Franklin and Clacks has been set at $250,000.

The 16-year-old appeared in court Friday, where a family member of Larry's addressed him.

"I want you all to know that my brother was loved," said the family member. "We will show up every time, every opportunity to let you know what you did, and what you did was nothing you should be walking the streets parading about."

The 16-year-old's bond was also set at $250,000. He is being charged as an adult, but 27 News is not naming him until a decision is made about whether his case will go back to juvenile court. The 17-year-olds will be tried in adult court.
