A change in future non-conference Nebraska football schedules is announced.
The Huskers' previously scheduled non-conference games with Tennessee in 2026 and 2027 have been cancelled, as NU announces three non-conference additions in the 2026 and 2027 seasons.
Athletic Director Troy Dannen says possible lower revenues from reduced seating capacity during Memorial Stadium renovations are a factor in making the changes and playing eight home games in 2027.
Nebraska replaces Tennessee on the schedule with home games against Bowling Green on Sept. 12th, 2026, and Miami University from Oxford, Ohio on Sept. 11th, 2027.
Additionally, Nebraska has added a matchup against Northern Iowa on Sept. 18th, 2027 to complete its non-league schedule for that season.
