A court hearing is scheduled for March 25 in the ongoing dispute between Mayor LaToya Cantrell's administration and New Orleans Public Schools.
In Thursday's hearing, the school district had asked the judge to require Cantrell's administration to adhere to a school funding deal it had earlier agreed to.
The deal stated that the city would provide the district $90 million over the next ten years. In exchange, the district would drop a lawsuit that claimed the city illegally diverted $140 million.
The funding would help the district deal with a current budget shortfall.
