A teacher at Eastside Elementary School in Hammond is in custody and accused of Internet sex crimes including juveniles.
Louisiana State Police say Vincent Catalanotto tried to arrange a meeting with a minor to engage in sex acts.
He's charged with one count each of computer-aided solicitation of a minor and indecent behavior with juveniles.
Tangipahoa Parish school officials say the reported crimes didn't happen on the school campus.
Catalanotto is on leave, and the school system is cooperating with the investigation.
