Lend a Helping Can raises money for 12 New England charitable agencies to feed the Needy and Homeless.

 

Beloved Ionia County 'shoe tree' to be removed ahead of road construction

The Ionia County Road Department has announced safety improvements at a curving intersection in Otisco Township will make it so a beloved 'shoe tree' will need to be removed.

The construction project is meant to help improve how the Zahm Road /Krupp Road intersection, so that they are better aligned. The initiative is part of a broader effort to enhance safety at three intersections in Ionia County. It's being funded by the Federal Highway Administration.

Bad news is, they'll need to remove the 'shoe tree' to do it.
