This Wednesday marked the first day to cast your ballot in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame's Fan Vote for the Class of 2025 and Phish is already off to a big start with just under 27,000 votes. Billy Idol is slightly behind with just over 20,000 votes, followed closely by Soundgarden with nearly 20,000. Cyndi Lauper and Joe Cocker round out the top five with 18,000 and 17,000 votes, respectively.
The competition is fierce among the remaining nominees. Bad Company has garnered 16,500 votes, while Chubby Checker sits at 15,250. The Black Crowes have 14,000 votes, and Outkast follows with 13,250. Oasis and The White Stripes are also in the running with 12,500 and 11,000 votes, respectively. Joy Division/New Order has 10,500 votes, Mariah Carey has 8,500, and Mana rounds out the list with 3,500 votes. Fans can cast their votes once a day through April 21st at RockHall.com.
The Class of 2025 will be announced in late April, with the induction ceremony set for the fall in Los Angeles. Billy Idol said, "It's an honor and a privilege."
