The Orleans Parish Coroner is calling for recognition of his team's efforts after the New Year's Day terrorist attack on Bourbon Street.
Dr. Dwight McKenna says he and his team were on the job for 36 hours straight, working to perform autopsies and to collect and identify evidence.
On January 9, the city council recognized the New Orleans police for their efforts on New Year's morning.
McKenna wrote a letter to the city council members, asking them to do the same for him and his team.
