A popular discount retailer is shuttering locations around the country, including several in Arizona.

Big Lots, which has been providing products like furniture, home decor and electronics at reduced rates since 1967, recently announced its plans to close most of its locations months after its September 2024 Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing, with "going out of business" sales planned for the near future in-store and online to "protect the value of its estate," USA Today reports. Around 200 locations in 15 states plan to remain open.

Big Lots CEO Bruce Thorn explained in a press release the company's decision to close hundreds of its stores and expressed his hope that the closures could be reversed if a company sale was completed.

"We all have worked extremely hard and have taken every step to complete a going concern sale," he said. "While we remain hopeful that we can close an alternative going concern transaction, in order to protect the value of the Big Lots estate, we have made the difficult decision to being the GOB process."

Among the stores closing down are several locations across Arizona that will soon have "going out of business" sales, though it's unclear how long they will last. Continue reading to see which locations are shuttering their doors:
