In a reversal of a decision made last week, a federal judge is now allowing President Trump's federal employee buyout program to continue.
The program offers millions in buyouts to about two million federal workers for them to either quit or stay and return to working in the office. Multiple labor unions filed lawsuits, saying there was no legal authority to offer such buyouts.
A federal judge last week put a temporary freeze on the program, but the same judge on Wednesday made a decision that the unions lacked legal standing for their lawsuits.
That puts the buyout offers back on the table. Many workers have accepted the package already.
