The current federal hiring freeze could lead to summertime problems for the Cape Cod National Seashore.
The Seashore generally hires about four dozen lifeguards as well as rangers, maintenance crews and fee collectors for April to October.
The head of the Association of National Park Rangers says any potential hiring delays could lead to a big reduction in hours for Seashore visitor centers, fewer ranger-led programs and public facilities that are not as clean.
Until something changes with the hiring freeze, no seasonal jobs are being listed on the Seashore's website.
