Backstreet's back, alright!
The Backstreet Boys will officially be taking over The Sphere as part of their highly anticipated "Into The Millennium" residency this summer.
The "Everybody" icons shared the news to Instagram on Wednesday (February 12), gifting the Backstreet Army the opportunity to "Relive your Backstreet Boys Y2K memories, but this time… LARGER THAN LIFE ." The surprise announcement (featuring a nod to 1999's "Larger Than Life") was accompanied by a video of the standouts arriving at the storied Las Vegas venue with their residency dates displayed on the exterior screen.
The Backstreet Boys will be performing at The Sphere on July 11, 12, 13, 18, 19, 20, 25, 26 and 27. Pre-sale tickets and exclusive hotel packages for the show will go on sale this Friday (February 14), with general admission to follow on February 21.
Fans reacted to the news in the comment section of the unexpected post, resounding their delight that the "I Want It That Way," standouts would be performing at The Sphere.
"I can’t wait!!! The best news ever!!!" Another agreed, "Now THIS is pretty freaking cool!!!"
The residency will celebrate songs featured on the band's 1999 album, Millennium, in addition to other award-winning hits. News of the Backstreet Boys' Sphere residency arrives on the heels of documentary, LARGER THAN LIFE: REIGN OF THE BOYBANDS, released in November 2024, in which founding member AJ McLean revealed a few "rules" attached to being in a boy band.
