A robot named Phantom, built for military tasks, recently took a break from its usual duties to DJ at a San Francisco club. Created by Foundation Robotics Labs, Phantom played a 30-minute set at Temple nightclub during an AI trade expo. The robot kept the music going smoothly, though its dance moves were a bit offbeat. Foundation Robotics Labs mainly makes robots for the U.S. Department of Defense, but this event showed that their machines can have fun, too. The question left unanswered: Do we need battle robots to drop the hurt on enemies or just sick beats?
