The Omaha Airport Authority says next Monday, Feb. 17th, the next phase of Omaha Eppley Airfield construction begins.
The entire central portion of the Terminal, including Level 2, will close, and the Terminal will split in half to enable construction of the new Central Pavilion, a key component of the "Build OMA Terminal Modernization Program."
After the Terminal Split, OMA will operate with two terminals – the North Terminal and the South Terminal.
Each airline’s services, including ticketing, gates, and baggage claims, are located within its terminal, so the authority says it will be important for travelers to know which terminal their airline operates from before coming to the airport.
During this phase of construction, travelers who need to move between the South Terminal and North Terminal will use the Terminal Drive walkways and ground level of the South Garage.
Signs will be posted.
As Eppley enters this new phase of construction, travelers are encouraged to use the Find Your Way at OMA options below to assist in navigating the airport:
• Passenger Assistance: Airport staff in uniforms are available throughout the facility to answer questions and guide travelers to their destination.
• Enhanced Wayfinding Signage: Signs and graphics are in place to help travelers navigate the new layout of the terminals.
• Online Updates: BuildOMA.com and FlyOMA.com are providing the most up-to-date information on the airport.
