(Austin, TX) --President Donald Trump is taking to social media to praise the Texas Senate for a school voucher bill. Senate Bill 2 would allocate a billion dollars of state funds to create savings accounts for parents to pay for private school tuition. Trump congratulated Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick for the bill's passage in a post on Truth Social. The bill now goes to the Texas House, where a similar bill failed in the 2023 legislative session.
