Do you live in one of the rudest cities in the country?

America is made up of hospitable cities with kind residents, but a few locales fall short of this reputation. Be it a general quick pace or questionable and seemingly closed-off behavior of its residents, something about this booming metropolis landed it on a list of the most impolite cities in the country.

Social behaviors that contributed to the ranking included "lack of awareness in public, loudness in shared places, and rudeness to service staff" to name only a few things people living in the rudest cites in the nation said about their neighbors.

According to a list compiled by Preply, the rudest city in Massachusetts is Boston in 6th. Boston was the only Massachusetts city that made the list.

The top five rudest cities in America are Miami, Florida, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Tampa, Florida, Louisville, Kentucky, and Oakland, California. Some states, like Idaho, Montana, and Iowa, didn't have a single city listed among the rudest in the country.

To source this data, Preply "surveyed residents about social behaviors they noticed in their city and calculated a city rudeness score based on the answers."
