FRESNO, Calif. — Fresno State hits the road on Monday for its second game this season with Nevada. Tipoff is set for 8 p.m. PT at Lawlor Events Center.
The game will air on FS1 with Derek Clark and Casey Jacobsen on the call. Paul Loeffler, Marc Q. Jones and Taylor Martinez will have Fresno State's radio call on the Bulldog Sports Network.
QUICK LOOK
The Bulldogs and Wolf Pack last met on Jan. 11 when both teams were seeking their first conference win. The Pack are 5-3 since that win in Fresno.
Monday will wrap-up a stretch of four games in 10 days (Feb. 1-10) for the Bulldogs that saw two home games in four days book-ended by road trips to Boise State and Nevada.
During the last eight games, Fresno State has held five of its opponents to below 70 points in regulation. Three of those five contests ended in overtime defeats along with a five-point defeat in regulation.
In Mountain West play, Fresno State is the only team in the conference with three players averaging at least 12 points per game--Jalen Weaver (14.5ppg - 11th), Alex Crawford (13.4ppg - 15th), Zaon Collins (12.4ppg - 17th).
Weaver has jumped to the top of that trio after dropping three 20-point games in his last four outings, including a career-high 23 against Wyoming and San Jose State. He entered January without one in his career.
Fresno State is the only team in the MW with two freshmen averaging at least 8.0 points per game in conference play. Elijah Price is second at 10.7 ppg while Brian Amuneke is fourth at 8.0 ppg.
Amuneke has caught fire lately with four double-figure games in his last six. With games of 16, 18 and a season-high 19 last week against San Jose State, he is averaging 12.2 points per game in his last six appearances.
The freshman also had season highs in rebounds (7) and steals (4) against the Spartans in 41 minutes.
Grabbing his sixth double-double at Wyoming (Jan. 28), Elijah Price matched the program's Division I record for most double-doubles in a season by a freshman which was set by Paul George during the 2008-09 season.
The redshirt freshman also ranks fifth in the country among freshmen in rebounding (7.8 rpg) and fourth in offensive rebounds (2.96). His six double-doubles also rank third-most nationally among freshmen.
Since the start of 2025, Crawford is averaging 15.9 points per game, posting seven double-figure games, including four 20-point games in his last nine.
GETTING HANDSY
Only three players in the Mountain West have produced at least six steals in a game this season, and two of those players reside in Fresno. Zaon Collins was the first, collecting six at UCSB on Nov. 13. Elijah Price recorded his six-steal game on Dec. 31 versus New Mexico.
The Bulldogs rank third in the MW in steals, producing 7.8 per game.
Fresno State's 13 steals at Wyoming (Jan. 28) was its most since swiping 13 against Air Force in the 2019 Mountain West quarterfinals (March 14, 2019). Two games later, the 'Dogs forced 11 against San Jose State, their third-most in a game this year. It was pushed to the fourth-most after the 'Dogs produced 12 four days later against Utah State.
GET TO THE RACK
A product of Vance Walberg's system is getting to the free-throw line, set up by constant drives to the bucket. The Bulldogs have used that to their advantage, attempting 22.7 free throws per game which ranks 36th nationally and second in the MW.
Fresno State has attempted 6.8 more free throws per game than its opponents.
Against Sacramento State, the 'Dogs were +17 in free throw attempts. At Long Beach State, they held a +40 differential in attempts. Both games resulted in single-digit wins for the Bulldogs as they overcame shooting below 35% from the field.
In the last nine games, Fresno State has averaged 16.9 made free throws per game. The difference in the Bulldogs' win over Air Force was that they shot a season-high 91.3%. The previous four games before the win saw the 'Dogs below 71%.
MR. RELIABLE
With three double-digit scoring performances in his first seven appearances of the season, Jalen Weaver got his shooting touch going at BYU with 15 points and has been one of the Bulldogs' most reliable scorers ever since. The senior followed that up by matching his career high of 19 against San Diego. From Dec. 11-Jan. 4, he had six straight games in double figures, and has 13 in his last 15 games which includes three 20-point games.
Weaver scored 88 points during that stretch (14.5 ppg) after a season-low two (1-of-8) at Santa Clara.
Weaver made 18 3-pointers in those six games (40.6%, 13-of-32), making at least two in five of the six.
After a 2-of-11 performance at Colorado State, Weaver has combined for 42-of-87 (48.3%) in the last eight games, scoring 124 points. The stretch includes a career-high 23-points twice in three games (at Wyoming, vs. San Jose State), followed by 20 against Utah State.

Nevada holds the all-time series lead at 66-45.
The Bulldogs have lost five in a row in the series, and 13 of the last 14 meetings.
