The Lexington Minutemen won the Ohio Cardinal Conference outright on Friday with a win, 59-58, at Ashland.
Lex led by 1 point after the 1st quarter and 4 points at halftime, where the first two quarters featured four ties and eleven lead changes.
The Minutemen took a 7 point lead to the 4th quarter, where the Arrows outscored Lexington by 6 points.
Minutemen Senior guard, Jakob Legron, was clutch in the final 30 seconds of the game, as he went 5/5 at the free throw line to help seal the game for Lexington (17-3, 11-1).
The OCC title is the 3rd straight for Lex, and 9th overall.
Gavin Husty led the Minutemen with 16 points, Joe Caudill had 14 points and 11 rebounds, while Brayden Fogle chipped in 13 points and 7 rebounds.
Ashland (10-8, 5-6) had 3 guys in double figures: Paxon Ediger with 23 points, Nathan Bernhard 12 points and 13 rebounds and Gabe Baith with 11 points.
