Post Malone is teaming up with Travis Barker for a Nirvana cover album in honor of Record Store Day.
The multi-genre artist, who recently made waves in country music with 2024's F-1 Trillion, is preparing to release a new album of covers in April titled Post Malone Tribute to Nirvana, an exclusive vinyl Record Store Day 14-track tribute to the beloved rock band, and it's all for a good cause. According to People, profits from the album will go toward MusiCares' Addiction Recovery/Mental Health division.
Post, the Record Store Day ambassador for 2025, originally performed the songs via YouTube livestream from his home in Salt Lake City in April 2020 during the pandemic to raise funds for the UN Foundation's COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund and benefit the World Health Organization.
The "Circles" singer partnered with Barker on drums as well as Brian Lee and Nick Mac on bass and guitar, respectively, to record several popular tracks and deep cuts, such as "Come as You Are," "Lounge Act," "Heart-Shaped Box" and "On A Plain," to name a few.
The news comes days after the remaining members of Nirvana — Dave Grohl, Krist Novoselic and Pat Smear — reunited for a surprise set at FireAid, a benefit concert to raise funds for wildlife relief efforts in Los Angeles.
Post Malone Tribute to Nirvana will release on Record Store Day on April 12.
