Larry June, 2 Chainz and The Alchemist join forces for their first collaborative project.
On Friday, February 7, all three hip-hop icons delivered their joint album Life Is Beautiful via The Freeminded Records/ALC/EMPIRE. Larry and Tity Boi open the project with smooth verses over Al's euphoric production on "Munyon Canyon" followed by the project's lead singles "I Been" and "Bad Choices." They continue with "LLC," the title track and "Generation." The trio delivered their official music video for the latter track today in honor of the album's release.
"I hang by myself, my partner got locked up by bounty hunters/I tell a b***h, 'Take a jetski from Miami to Bahamas,'" 2 Chainz raps on the chorus.
"I'm the type to rock a white tee with an M in ice (Good job)/I'm the type to pull up on that skeezer just to hit tonight," June raps. "12 on my tail, I might— rrt, hit my other spot/I’m John Wick in a black fox, knot in my sock, rockin' Gen5."
2 Chainz first alluded to the project last month when he announced his plans to release three projects this year. The Atlanta native and the California rappers formally began teasing the album a few days later. They dropped "Bad Choices" near the end of January with a dope video featuring scenes of all three driving around in sports cars and working in the studio. The guys followed up with the visuals for "I Been," which was shot using a panoramic frame.
