Kristin Davis recently revealed which of her Sex and The City co-stars takes criticism of their character to heart.
The beloved actress got candid about Carrie, Miranda (said in Steve's voice, of course), Charlotte, and Samantha on the Wednesday (February 5) episode of her iHeartRadio SATC rewatch podcast, Are You a Charlotte?, revealing that Sarah Jessica Parker takes it very personally when fans express their distaste of her character Carrie Bradshaw.
"Of course, she takes it personally, because how can you not?"
Entertainment Weekly mentioned that criticism of the show's main character began to populate the internet as Davis, Parker, and Cynthia Nixon (who played Miranda in the popular series which ran from 1998 to 2004) started filming And Just Like That in 2021.
"Sarah Jessica was saying to me, 'What is this thing where people don't like Carrie?'" Davis remarked, "And I was like, 'Oh, just don't worry about that.' She was like, 'But I mean, how could they not like Carrie?'"
Rapper Megan Thee Stallion shared her contempt for Bradshaw in a November 2024 interview with talk show host Jimmy Fallon, calling the fictional writer "insane."
"Carrie really loved drama. She would literally wake up and figure out, 'How can I mess up everybody’s day? How can I be my cutest messing up everybody’s day? How can I make my life more complicated?' Simply, she could have always made the right choice. She could have chosen sanity, but she always chose insanity. And then I had to wonder, is that me?"
SATC fans can look forward to more drama and more Manolo Blahnik looks in season three of And Just Like That slated for release this year!
