A 23-year-old DJ taught his parents how to use his music decks, and now they’re regularly hosting spontaneous raves in their kitchen.
Phillip Yacovelli, saw that his parents had some spare time since they’d recently retired and his folks Dominic and Janine took to it straight away.
Now, the family in Atlantic City, New Jersey, turn up the volume on the beats in their kitchen at any time of day. Phillip says the idea came from nowhere when he graduated college and was still living at home with his parents. He says he was DJing all the time, and suggested his parents hop on and play.
They thought it was funny and said, ‘why not?’ and now they play once a week or more.
