Roster for 2025 takes shape

FRESNO, Calif. - As the February signing window opened on Wednesday, Fresno State football head coach Matt Entz announced five high school signees to the program in part of his first signing class as the Bulldogs' head coach. Entz, who was hired as head coach on December 4, 2024, picked up the commitments of three offensive players and two defensive players in this signing period. Fresno State signed 11 players in the early signing window (Dec. 4-6), and brought the class total to 16 with Wednesday's additions. The class is also supported by the addition of 20 transfer student-athletes.

2025 Signing Class Notables:

Fresno State signed 11 student-athletes in the December period and added five in February

Of the 16 signees, 10 are offensive and six are on defense

Fresno State signed three Valley natives out of high school to the 2025 class

Just three signees are from outside of California

Fresno State added three wide receivers, offensive linemen and defensive backs in the signing class

OL Brayden Walton signed in December and was an early enrollee. Walton has already begun workouts with the Bulldogs

As of February 2025, all 16 signees are rated with at least three stars by 247Sports

WR Harold Duvall was bumped to a four-star recruit, becoming Fresno State's first four star signee since WR and Valley native Jalen Cropper in 2019 and just the fourth Bulldog with that level of rating since 247Sports began its scouting system

​In addition to the high school signees, Fresno State added 21 mid-year players to the roster ahead of spring football - one of which was an early enrollee from high school:

2025 Transfer Class Notables:

Of the 21 additions, 13 join from a Division I program, two from a Division II program, five from a junior college, and one is joining out of high school.

Five mid-year additions are from the Valley - Josiah Ayon (WR), Braylan Henderson (OL), Brayden Walton (OL), Bryson Harrington (DL) and Logan Goodspeed (DL).

Although not Valley natives, Michael Jordan J. (Pasadena, Calif.) and Jadon Pearson (Gilbert, Ariz.) make their return to the Central Valley after beginning their collegiate careers at Reedley College.

The defensive line added the most newcomers with six.

On offense, the group with the most additions was the offensive line with four.

Andre Cobb (NKL) and Ethan Tierney (DB) both join from Northern Illinois, following defensive coordinator Nick Benedetto.

Fresno State added two defensive transfers from conference foe Utah State. Jadon Pearson and Simeon Harris were the first transfer commitments after the hiring of head coach Matt Entz.

Of the 21 additions, three attended nearby Buchanan High School. It brings Fresno State's spring roster total to eight Buchanan High School alums.

Defensive line addition Bryson Harrington transferred from Pitt, but not as a football player. He was a member of the wrestling team. His father, Grant, played offensive line at Fresno State in the late 90s.
