A police report provides insight into an incident last month at the Barnstable Transfer Station where a woman was seriously injured.
It indicates that Dawn Capra was removing trash from the trunk of her vehicle on January 29th when she was struck by a vehicle.
The driver of that car told police that her foot slipped off the brake, and Capra was pinned between the two vehicles.
Capra suffered two broken femurs, and on Tuesday her right leg was amputated just above the knee.
