Louisiana leaders are cheering President Donald Trump's new executive order protecting girls' and women's sports.
Trump signed the order titled "Keeping Men Out of Women's Sports" on Wednesday. The order bans biological males from participating in female sports and enforces single-sex sports and locker rooms for federally funded entities.
Gov. Jeff Landry was in DC when Trump signed the order, and thanked him for it.
Attorney General Liz Murrill, Senators John Kennedy and Bill Cassidy, Representatives Julia Letlow and Steve Scalise, and Speaker of the House Mike Johnson also praised Trump's order.
