The Tampa Bay Lightning (29-20-4) defeated the Ottawa Senators (29-22-4) 5-1 on Thursday night at Amalie Arena. Following a 4-3 win by Tampa Bay over Ottawa on Tuesday, it was the second time in three days the Lightning were able to defeat the Senators at Amalie Arena.
Brayden Point had a goal and two assists, while Jake Guentzel and Brandon Hagel also scored for Tampa Bay. Nikita Kucherov had two assists, and Andrei Vasilevskiy made 27 saves in net.
The Lightning now go on the road this weekend, beginning in Detroit on Saturday. Puck drop between the Lightning and Red Wings is scheduled for 1:00 PM on Saturday afternoon.
