Drake plans to drop new music "when the time is right."
The Canadian rapper hit the stage in Perth for the second night of his "Anita Max Win Tour" in Australia on Wednesday, February 5. During his set, Drizzy hyped up the crowd by promoting his forthcoming joint album with PARTYNEXTDOOR $OME $EXY $ONGS 4 U before it arrives on Valentine's Day. He also revealed his plans to release a new solo LP.
“Eventually when the time is right, Drizzy Drake alone by himself is gonna have to have a one-on-one talk to y’all,” he said. “I’ll be back with another album... a one-on-one conversation with y’all that you need to hear.”
Drake didn't share any other details about his next solo project. The news comes over a year after Drake dropped his previous album For All The Dogs. A few months later, Drake shared diss tracks aimed at Kendrick Lamar like "Push Ups," "Family Matters" and "The Heart Pt. 6." Although he hasn't shared an official project, Drizzy did share a handful of bangers on his 100 GIGS website like "No Face," "It's Up" with 21 Savage & Young Thug, and "Housekeeping Knows" featuring Latto.
It's clear Drake has been working on new music for a minute. Last month, he shared a photo of himself posted up in the studio and wrote, “💰💰💰 I thought this through." The caption is a nod to his upcoming joint project with PND, but it could also double as a clue about his next solo album.
