Des Moines Police Release Update on Lower Beaver Shooting

(Des Moines, IA) -- Des Moines police are identifying two people killed in a shooting in the Lower Beaver neighborhood on Monday. Officers arrived at about 4:40 p.m. to a home in the 3900 block of Lynner Drive to find 15-year-old Tee Reh and 24-year-old Ne Reh dead in what police are describing as a homicide and suicide. Investigators are still trying to piece together events, and say the two are not related to each other.

A press release from Des Moines Police says a forensic autopsy and examination of the available evidence do not provide conclusive answers regarding which person initiated the sequence, or a potential motive.

The Des Moines Police Department says detectives are continuing the investigation. They say additional information will be shared as it becomes available for release.
