The American Customer Satisfaction Index, which measures customer satisfaction in six retail industries, has just come out. The annual index is based on feedback from 41-thousand shoppers across the country over the last year, including how they rate grocery stores for things like quality of goods, convenience of store hours and ease of pick-up process. According to the 2025 index, two grocery stores tie for first place - Publix and Trader Joe’s. They each have an overall satisfaction score of 84 out of 100. Last year, Costco was number one, but it dropped 5% to earn a score of 81 this year.
