Five players were players selected as inductees to the 2025 Pro Football Hall of Fame class announced during the NFL Honors award show Thursday (February 6) night.

The 2025 Pro Football Hall of Fame class will include defensive end Jared Allen, cornerback Eric Allen and tight end Antonio Gates were elected as part of the NFL's modern era class and wide receiver Sterling Sharpe was elected as part of the seniors category.

Jared Allen was a four-time first-team All-Pro and five-time Pro Bowl selection, having led the league in sacks twice during a 12-year career with the Kansas City Chiefs (2004-07), Minnesota Vikings (2008-13), Chicago Bears (2014-15) and Carolina Panthers (2015). Eric Allen was a former first-team All-Pro in 1993, a two-time second-team All-Pro in 1989 and 1991 and a six-time Pro Bowler during his 14-year career with the Philadelphia Eagles (1988-94), New Orleans Saints (1995-97) and Oakland Raiders (1998-2001).

Gates, who played basketball rather than football during his collegiate career at Kent State, spent his entire career with the San Diego/Los Angeles Chargers from 2003 to 2018 and is the all-time leader in touchdown receptions by a tight end (116), while also ranking fourth in career receptions (955) and yards (12,151) for the position. Sharpe, the older brother of Pro Football Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe, spent his entire career with the Green Bay Packers and was a three-time first-team All-Pro (1989, 1992, 1993) and a five-time Pro Bowler (1989, 1990, 1992-94), leading the NFL in receiving touchdowns in 1992 and 1994 and receiving yards in 1992.
