Numerous Dead Birds Found In Chatham

Numerous dead birds have been found this week in Chatham, and the avian flu is the suspected cause.

Chatham's animal control officer recovered eight dead birds from Harding's Beach, and two others at Ridgevale.

Town officials say there are numerous other reports of dead birds from local residents that still need to be investigated.

Chatham animal control is treating every dead bird found as if it had been infected with the avian influenza, and residents are urged to report all findings.
