Mitch McConnell is "fine" after falling twice on Capitol Hill today. His office released a statement explaining that a weak leg from having polio as a child sometimes causes him to lose his balance.
According to the NY Post, the 82-year-old Senator tripped down a small set of stairs as he left the Senate chamber after voting to confirm Trump's HUD Secretary, Scott Turner. Senators Steve Daines (R-Mont.) and Markwayne Mullin (R-Okla.) reportedly helped him up, and he was able to continue walking without assistance.
He fell a second time during a Senate lunch, after which he began using a wheelchair as a precaution.
