It appears as if none of the three former staffers of Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo that were charged with bid rigging in a COVID contract will go to trial.
Former Chief of Staff Alex Triantaphyllis appeared in court Thursday. Reporter Holly Hansen with The Texan posted on social media that "One of the felony charges that was pending against former Harris County Judge Hidalgo's CoS, Misuse of Official Information, is now listed as "Complete." Hansen also posted that, "Charges of Misuse of Official Information is now "dismissed" and Triantaphyllis will enter "pretrial intervention" for the charges of Tampering with a Record.
Last week, charges against the other two staffers were dismissed.
You can listen for former Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg's response to that below.
