Texas Governor Greg Abbott, who attended the Trump inauguration on January 20th, is back in Washington Wednesday for a face to face meeting with the President.
On X, Abbott wrote, "Looking forward to meeting with President Trump today. Earlier this morning I spoke with Tom Homan about immigration enforcement strategies. Today, and the coming days, should be great for Texas."
The meeting with trump comes after the Governor struck a deal with Customs and Border Protection allowing Texas National Guard troops to arrest people in the country illegally as long as there is an U.S. immigration officer or Border Patrol agent present.
The meeting with Trump will be behind closed doors in the Oval Office.
