A former teacher at Salmen High School is out of a job following his arrest on Tuesday for inappropriate behavior with a student.
Slidell police say John Bowie is accused of having inappropriate conversations with a female student during classroom hours. Officers investigated the claims and concluded there was enough evidence to make the arrest.
Bowie is charged with one count of inappropriate behavior with a juvenile.
