The Senate late Tuesday afternoon formally voting to confirm Pam Bondi as the next United States Attorney General.
Bondi received confirmation by a 54-46 vote in the Senate. Democratic Senator John Fetterman joined Republicans to vote in her favor.
She becomes the first of President Trump's picks for the Justice Department to be confirmed.
Former Georgia Congressman Doug Collins was also confirmed as the Secretary of Veteran's Affairs on Tuesday. Two more Trump picks, Tulsi Gabbard and Robert F. Kennedy Jr., also cleared committee votes.
