A$AP Rocky has finally broken his silence amid his gun assault trial, but he's not talking about his case.

The New York native walked into a courthouse on Monday, February 3, for the sixth day of his trial. As he approached the doors, TMZ asked the Testing rapper to share his thoughts about Kendrick Lamar winning five awards at the 2025 Grammys. Rocky only provided a one-word response: "Congratulations." Up until now, the 36-year-old artist had barely uttered a word to the press since the trial began last week. However, it seems like the chatter surrounding the Grammys got him talking.

After he left, Rocky continued to comment on Lamar's win. He said the Compton rapper "deserved every one of 'em." A$AP Rocky's thoughts about Kendrick's win are significant. He was also nominated ahead of the 67th Grammy Awards for Best Music Video thanks to his "Tailor Swif" visuals. He took to X, formerly known as Twitter, and shared his reaction after he lost to K.Dot's "Not Like Us."

"💔 maybe next time," Rocky wrote in his post.

Of course, neither Rocky nor his girlfriend Rihanna did not attend the awards show in L.A. They have been laser-focused on the trial. Rocky is facing two counts of felony assault with a semi-automatic weapon. He's accused of firing a gun at his former friend A$AP Relli during an argument outside of a Hollywood hotel in 2021. Relli, born Terell Ephron, claimed a bullet from the gun grazed his hand. He told his side of the story and was cross-examined by Rocky's lawyer Jose Tacopina for three days straight last week. Rocky was caught on security footage with a weapon in hand, but Tacopina argued Rocky was holding a prop gun that couldn't fire real bullets and claimed Relli was trying to extort his client.

Rihanna and Rocky's family have been present for most of the proceedings. The trial will continue today. Despite previous reports, prosecutors have confirmed that the "D.M.B." rapper faces eight years in prison if found guilty.
