(Omaha, NE) -- A case of a fight between two siblings turned into a stabbing on Sunday.

Omaha Police say they arrived after a report of a man trying to stab his sister. 27-year-old Santesha Brown told responding officers her brother, 29-year-old Marquis Brown choked her, threw her down the stairs, slashed her with a knife, and then threatened to kill her.

OPD says he's been taken into custody, charged with 2nd-degree assault, strangulation, and use of a weapon to commit a felony. Police say the victim suffered bruises and multiple shallow cuts.
