The idea is to drastically reduce your phone usage, particularly when it comes to social media, and examine your relationship with your phone. Basically, if you can be off your phone completely, that is ideal. Otherwise, phones are for essential use only.
“While phones help us achieve many important tasks, they are also designed to keep us hooked. This highly addictive design has us checking our phones an average of 221 times every day,” said the Global Solidarity Foundation, the organization behind the challenge.
