Boston Politics. This year there will be another mayoral election in Boston. It was recently announced that Josh Kraft, a longtime nonprofit leader, and son of New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft, plans to run against incumbent mayor, Michelle Wu. Kraft has yet to make an official announcement but has filed the necessary paperwork to run for mayor of Boston. While Mayor Wu has not officially launched her re-election campaign, Kraft is her first competitor for this Fall. CBS Boston political analyst Jon Keller joins Gary to discuss!
Tariffs, Tariffs, Tariffs! Over the weekend, the Trump Administration imposed tariffs on America’s three biggest trading partners: Canada, Mexico, and China. Trump is slapping a 25% tariff on imports from Mexico and Canada and a 10% tariff on goods from China. Energy imported from Canada, including oil, natural gas, and electricity, would be taxed at 10%. Trump has paused tariffs on Mexico for one month. Why is Trump imposing these tariffs? How will these tariffs affect American citizens and businesses?
